Breton Week at The Pheasant
Pancake day is upon us on the 17th February. With crêpes at the heart of Breton cuisine we felt it a great opportunity to celebrate the food of our brothers from Brittany.
Cornwall and Brittany share deep, centuries-old connections hailing back to Celtic times and are linked by language, migration, geography and food. The produce of Brittany is very similar to Cornwall - with seafood, dairy and apples at the forefront. We have written a menu full of Breton specialities which we will be cooking from Tuesday 17th through to Saturday 21st, think galettes - savoury buckwheat pancakes, Cotriade - the fish stew of Brittany, Kig Ha Farz - a rustic dish of braised meat and cabbage, Far Breton - the eponymous baked custard and prune dessert.
Please join us over our Breton week for some great food and conviviality! Book via the link below!
