Long Lunches at The Pheasant

Long lunches at The Pheasant launches from Saturday 19th July. Each Saturday we will be cooking up a long lazy lunch based on what’s great to eat right now. The first glass of wine is on us, so book in with a group of friends and kick back, eat, drink and be merry. We’ll be spinning vinyl throughout the day with a great mix of records to take you through the afternoon. 

To start us off, we are celebrating spider crab season. Every summer the Cornish coast is descended upon by vast numbers of spider crab, with the inshore fleet pulling them up in pots even if they aren’t trying to catch them. Not only are they one of the most sustainable shellfish you can eat, they are also far more delicious than their brown crab counterparts with sweeter, more succulent meat that is worth the extra effort. 

You’ll get some of our chickpea fritters and a glass of wine to start and then a whole spider crab to share between two, served with chips, salad from Aral Farm and sourdough from Gorse, all for £29pp.
